Lidl specials that don't exist?

Is it only me that has this issue, I am curious. When Lidl have there specials on you go on and they never have any?? Here is an example. Over here in N.I they had this big promotion on as its there 10 year anniversary over here, they had Widescreen 19" monitors for £59 and a £500 laptop reduced to £249. It started the other morning, I sent the OH in at 8am when they open, she was the first customer in and asked the advisor about the monitor "Aw we don't have any left sorry" then just out of interest she asked about the laptop, "No we've none of them left either" they gave us a leaflet and told us to phone the number on the back to source stock, which she did and they didn't know.
This isn't the first time this has happened us, infact anytime they have anything decent on you go in and they don't have any, Needless to say they have loads of there portable toilets still sitting that was on offer

insider trading i'm afraid my mum put a complaint in about it and found out that they were putting stock by for regular customers and themselves so the ordinary of the street shoppers always missed the best deals. now her shop has ques when the deals come out and she's in with a chance of what she's after.slowly going nuts at the world:T0

Thanks, I had suspected as much as it was happening far to often. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Not all the branches get in all the Specials, remember. If you put your postcode into the branch locator on their website, it will show you what offers your local store will get.Val.0

I went to our local Aldi for an item on offer and was waiting outside as thought they opened earlier. There were plenty of the usb tuners that I wanted but when I was waiting for them to open - the guy came out with tickets and asked who was there for the laptop - they only had 4 for that store. I imagine they work on a fairly similar set up to Lidl although they don't advertise a variation according to post code like Lidl do.0

In my local store the special offers start on a Thursday but they always seem to put the stuff out on sale early. Local businesses pop in and clear the lot, so I've heard0
