I am new to this site - I looked at it for the first time today and it's inspired mt to actually phone up various companies and make arrangements to start paying stuff off - instead of just ignoring letters and hope they go away!
I have a bad credit history - and I don't want it forever - so I'm hoping today will be the first day towards me trying to fix it - even if it takes 10 years!
I also save £2 coins, and I think I have about £50 in my jar at the moment. . I am planning to splash out on some new clothes when I fill the jar up!

Well done on the £2 savings!! Have you posted a SOA? This might help as sometimes you can save money without realising it!!
Well done on taking the first step - a big pat on the back for you.

Although it's great that you've got nearly £50 saved up you'd be better throwing it at one of your credit/store cards. The quicker you pay them off the sooner you will have money to spend on yourself again.I would suggest taking it off Empire or Next.0

Hi,
Thanks for the info. .
How long did it take you to get out of debt?
And well done, by the way

I think these are the order in which you should tackle your debts. What are your monthly repayments? Is it your goal to be debt free asap or are you trying to save for something too?
Not sure if you were asking me how long it took for me to become debt free, or someone else, but it took around 3 years (from having my lightbulb moment to my last payment) although for the first 6 months or so I just got used to living within my means & trying not to overspend (as I had spent years living off the plastic).
You can do it.

Hiya Chico_&_Luna's_Mum :j
Why don't you throw £28 worth of those £2 coins at that catalogue debt tomorrow and get it paid off. It'll be one less debt to have to worry about and it'll make a great start to your debt free journey
