I wanna get my tent cleaned!

Not ver 'money saving' I know but it hasn't been used since last summer and I have a feeling it will be in desperate need. Dp is working away and i really want to get it done so I can take the kids away with friends. Anyone know a company that does tent cleaning please! x:confused:

Is it a nylon or canvas one?
I put our nylon one in the washing machine on cool with a squirt of washing up liquid, when it's done I just use Fabsil to reproof.
    It comes out really well.

Normally do mine as soon as we get home though?

Been around tents for many years, but have never even thought of cleaning them .
Been a bit muddy, wait til dry and brush off.
More of a good airing normally works. Let the sunshine get to the fabric, if the tent has built in ground sheet, turn inside out.

    Totally agree with wallbash.

Have you got a garden? If so, put it up in the garden and wait for rain! You can give it a better brush off while it's up as well.

Who needs a clean tent anyway - so long as it smells OK, which a good airing will sort, then at least it shows you actually use it!
