Had to take mine back to Boots at the weekend, it was only a couple of weeks old, but it had given up the ghost! The stirring bit had stopped stirring!
Great bargain if you don't use too much bread (as long as it keeps working, unlike mine!), as loaves are fairly small.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
think with boots convenient refund policy makes this a good gamble even if you do have a faulty one..... did you get a replacement?0

No, but Boots were fine about the refund, though I actually bought it in store anyway. Will be getting the Panasonic one as recommended on the OS thread instead - we bake a lot of bread in our house, and I think I need something a bit more industrial!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

yes, that's the one, the SD253. I bought one of the original Panasonic SD200s way back when they first came out and it did sterling service, week in week out, for years and years until I retired it (through no fault of its own though!) and bought this new one. I can't fault the Panasonics in any way, excellent results every time and their reliability is legendary0 -
Boots have sold out! Oh well, nevermind.
