I'm not sure if it made totally clear here, but were you:
a) just helping yourself to points whenever you felt like it?
b) or were these the points you received for signing people up to the card?
They are 2 very different situations, and perhaps you could explain which it is?Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
i think she (vendee - i assume its a she??) was mopping up points not collected by customers who were entitled to them. Its akin to letting people in supermarkets use there nectar cards for your purchases (which I have never been banned, as I dont always have it with me). However, I am pretty sure staff are banned from this due to the potential of abuse. (although I am sure it happens with schools vouchers, the number of times I have not been given them.... although I am not bothered).
Hence, the company probably does not loose out on additional points, but rather its a question of staff misusing their position where they can obtain these points against rules. Still fraud - but in the same vein as apply for (1 per household) freebies twice using variations on addresses. Something of course none of use would do!............... Have you ever wondered what

I would just admit you’ve been extremely naive and apologise lots. Maybe also offer the card back and tell them they can take the points off.
It isn’t the crime of the century, but it is wrong. I wouldn’t worry about the police, if it was that serious they would have called them before suspending you.0
