Storing a victoria sponge overnight

Hi, can anyone tell me the best way to store a victoria sponge overnight, I don't have any airtight containers :mad:

I haven't decorated the cake yet, will be doing this in the morning

    Just keave it in the tin in the kitchen. It'll hardly spoil in 12 hours ;)

    Once it was cool I would cover it with cling film to stop the air getting to it.

    I agree with Penelope Penguin, it will be fine overnight. But you could improvise an air-tight container by putting it on a plate and covering with a deep casserole dish, mixing bowl or even a saucepan.

    Foil would be fine too.
