Confused regarding Financial Advisers

I would like to talk to my financial adviser about organising my saving accounts (haven't had a meeting in 4 years!), but I'm unsure if I'm right to ask advice about the above or do financial advisers only come round if there's something in it for them?
Thanks
Thanks

Expect to be charged an hourly rate, unless of course they're earning some commission somehow (quite hard with savings, since they're legally obligated to recommend the best product and you can sue them if they don't!).
The reason it's quite hard btw is because not many savings products pay commission.0 -

If you are looking at just savings accounts, the financial advisor may not be interested or may not be willing to see you.
It's not so much the that they won't get paid for it but more because the research information doesn't tend to cover savings accounts so we are not that reliable for savings accounts data.
If it was me, I would just be taking to google and doing rate searches or using one of my "preferred" savings providers who may not offer the best rate. Its not really an area you need to use a financial advisor for.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
