I'd rather they delay it and get it right than rush it out only for it to be full of bugs and security holes.0

nah - they won't delay THAT long! All my views are my monkey's views. I give advice on behalf of my pet monkey and do I give banana related advice. All my posts are my monkey's opinion and no-one else's.0 -
DILLIGAF?
My preference is Linux, Solaris, MacOS - anything but Microshaft operating systems and their near pigopoly.

Thing is............ This OS can be delayed as long it takes MS, but you can bet anything that it wont take too long after release (they have a big history of this) before they realise they've released it full of holes anyway, after all, it's taken them long enough to make XP decent enough to feel safe to use.
A quick look at how MS release products....................
Release date (telling everyone how this product is the best, most secure product yet)...........
Then......................................(soon after).......
First big service patch to put right the first faults found.......(then).......
patch..........
patch.........
patch.........
patch........
Then another big service patch to catch up with the bundle they haven't done already...........(then).........
patch.........
patch.........
patch........
etc.........
Then just when they've got it not too bad, they decide that we all need to go out and buy their latest offering.
There's no way I'm going to fall for their latest offering for a long time. I've only just invested in XP 64bit Pro. Although 64bit windows systems aren't fully supported yet (it wont be too long), I feel safer with this than any new offering that MS can come up with. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
