Buggy

My sister wants a buggy with
a canopy/hood
preferaly straight bar handle rather than 2 individual handles
folds flat to fit into a small space
fits a child 117cm tall

Has anyone got any suggestions where she can get this type of buggy and how much would this cost?

Approx what age is the child - 5 years? I think all that would be roomy enough would be the unberella fold/stroller types. All of these would be two handles though. I've got a Mothercare lite buggy with a bar type handle and hood. It folds flat but is still quite bulky in a boot. My two year old looks humungous in it though as it has a very narrow seat.

He has just turned 6. She wants the buggy for when they are on holidays and he gets tired walking, also for when he falls asleep on holidays. Any suggestions on makes or models?

I think she may find it hard to get one that is suitable to that age. Most seem to be upto age 4 ish.

Kiddicare have this one at £69.99 reduced from £139.99, don't forget to go through Quidco for cashback.

Nurseryandtoys.com have this one for £50 reduced from £90.

If it's only for on holiday I would probably look at getting a second hand one off ebay, loot or a car boot though.

When we went to Cyprus we bought a really old silver cross pushchair for my 6 year old....it was roomy and laid flat. I dont know what we would have done without it! Depending on where she is going ..best to remember that abroad their pavements etc can be bumpy..their kerbs really high.. and a pushchair can really go through it..our regular buggies are not much good for it..especially for the older heavier child. So..if you want my advice..get an old pushchair-dont worry what it looks like ..use it for its purpose and dump it!Not really worth spending much on a pushchair for a child of that age just for a few weeks a year.
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)
