JJB Fitness - any help in reducing costs?

Hi

In 2 months my gym membership is up and I want to transfer my local (Warrington) JJB Fitness. Every time I join a gym I find there are people who get it much cheaper! Anyway, does anyone know:
* Any promotions in July/August
* What is the lowest price for full adult membership
* what freebies can be haggled
* can you avoid paying the joining fee

etc
............... Have you ever wondered what

    Ive been trying the same, I even emailed the mgr of my local JJB but shes having none of it! Just pointed me twds the deal on there website -
    14 months for the price of 12 when you pay in full.
    It does work out at around £23 per month when you go for off peak membership (which is fine for me) and no joining fee but considering were in a recession you would think that they would be open to some movement on the price!:mad:

    Especially when there offering students a rate of £20 per month!!! (mind you thats prob cos they know there unlikely to see them - lazy sods - Joke!):rotfl:

    Its strange as most gyms have deals , freebies (gym bags, etc) so I would be surprised if JJB do not.

    Come on - some one must know some magic :)

    In the end - as I am doing a part time Open Uni Course, I can register 6 months at £20 a month, no joining fee as paying 6 months in advance. Good price but still no bonus.

    If you go in the last week, i know joining fees are flexible
