    As for enhanced company schemes - it depends on the rules of the scheme, but some company schemes say you have to go back for a certain length of time or else you have to repay anything over and above the SMP element.

    Also the 'enhanced' payments don't always kick in unless you've worked for longer than the statutory payments require, eg you have to have been in post for 2 years before the X week before baby is due for the 'enhanced' scheme.
