Re the vinegar - yes it's in place of fabric softener and/or limescale tablets and it doesn't leave a smell

If you miss the nice smell of fabric conditioner you can add a few drops of essential oil to the rinse compartment with the vinegar."Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0 -

I started using vinegar, but when I ran out I did the washing without any and it is still fine, so I don't even bother with that any more. If I need to use the dryer I avoid putting any acrylic fabrics in because they cause static cling - even when I've used fabric softener.0 -
Hi again!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everybody who responded to my plea for help.
I have used lots of the tips (am loving the Fairy household soap!) and my washing is lovely and clean and most importantly STAIN-FREE :j:j
I can't believe it has taken me 7 years worth of having kids to get it right :rotfl:- couldn't have done it without all of your help - give youselves a big pat on the back :T
