Comet clearance website

Has end of line, clearance and refurb items. I haven't used it personally but it looks quite good

I have used it a few times; but be patient I don't think the savings are that good, folk tend to go daft and pay way over the odds. Also sometimes their desciptions can be a little economical with the truth.

Bought a fridge supposedly dented on side. The thing had been dropped and was crushed at 1 corner by 3" still got it and works fine but felt I paid too much. Mind you if it comes and is not as described then they can normally be quite helpful with a partial refund.

But just use some common sense and patience and you might get a bargain.

  • I would nt use comet clearance again after buying a cooker off them with supposedly only a dent in the side, saving about £50 off normal price.
When we recieved it the dent was there and the rest of the cooker was falling apart, it had obviously been dropped at some point.
Would be very wary about ordering from this site .

  • I used it to get a SMEG dishwasher, saved about £40 on the shop price (after delivery costs) for an item that was ex-display. Found the item was spot on, minor marks to the side, which given that it's going to live under the worktop between kitchen units is just perfect.

Although I have to agree that for an "ex-display" item I would have hoped for a bigger saving but other bidders have the same idea and the price goes up...

Delivery was spot on, store that had the item sent it to my local store for regional delivery on day of my choice (took over a week though as it originated in Glasgow and I live in Devon!).

Hi i have used this site before but found like Hintza that people do tend to bid quite highly and pay too much in my opinion.

I guess it is worth a try though!

This is an auction site, like ebay, people tend to pay silly prices for damaged or outdated products. :rolleyes2

Better to find customer returns in the real shops.

bought a bosch exdisplay washing machine and saved £100. it was as described. you must keep a cool head when biding and keep to ur max limit and not to overbid. remember if you miss it this time around other machines will appear later on. wont be suprised if comet's own staff add a bid or two to boost the price
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

  • Rather stick to Ebay.People are paying too much for these products!
If it's not a bargain, it's not worth buying :D
