If perrys advertised your car with MOT then they missold the car as it clearly couldnt have a current MOT. You bought the car with good faith that the MOT was genuine. I believe you would have a case under sale of goods act.

    Why?

The MOT would be genuine, tinted glass is NOT part of the MOT test.:p

That is what has happened in every case I have heard of in my locality so I suspect you are correct your assumption
Your average illegal tint user has a Burbarry cap (can't afford Burberry), 4x2 rear spoiler, exhaust holed to make it sound loud, and illegal tints they fitted themselves with bubbles and creases. Do they go around saying "sorry officer?" No they start getting lippy because they think they're in the right or it makes them look tough to their mates, but luckily they just stick themselves in it!

Maybe you should just be thankful you live in a no crime area? I mention that because, it must be crime free if the police have got nothing better to do with their time than hassle innocent motorists about tinted windows.

Hardly innocent as the OP was found guilty in a court of law.
