Did you manage any sleep last night hun?

    I hope so.;)

    Good luck X

I tried the going to bed, getting up if not sleeping, then going back to bed again. I was still awake gone 3 then woke up just before 7, so I managed to get a few hours.

How are things with you? How's the routine with your DS going?

    Hiya hun
Glad you managed some sleep, although it would be good to have more, good luck with this still.;)

Oh golly my DS, he was awake laughing until at least 4:30 this morning, and of course in the evenings we are up the stairs many times a night, we have moved this on to 10pm with him being 14, and he has a reading book, we had to remove his TV last year and laptop, I felt cruel but had to be cruel to be kind, or he would be awake constant lol.....

Not working though, his psychologist suggested all this and she is amazed that this has not even worked, we tried the diet years ago, but even she is saying now, he just does not seem to need the sleep.....

Hope you get more sleep tonight.;)

    You too di.

I do think your body gets used to a lack of sleep.

I was extremely tired when I started this thread, as I hadn't had any sleep at all on the night before and literally felt drained.

Now, even though I'm still tired when I get up of a morning, I'm not as exhausted as I was the other day.

Lack of sleep is a terrible thing though. As you say, your son is someone who doesn't seem to need much. My DD was like that until about the age of 8, now can sleep for England! Even DD2 has stopped getting up early.

I don't want to take sleeping tablets on top of everything else I take, so hopefully following some of the ideas on here, I will hopefully start sleeping a bit more - even if it is just an hour extra :)

    Bless you and thank you.:A

In regards of taking meds I would be too afraid like yourself to be honest, I take meds for high BP and I am also asthmatic, so is my son, and of course his specialist is against this also.

Have you tried Chinese herbal tea?;)

    How are you di?

    How's your son?

I was up just after 5 this morning :( but I have a Jackie Collins book to keep me occupied, so even though I'm not asleep, I am relaxing :)
