hi all, posted other day about being accepted for A & L direct current account. got paperwork this morning and they have given me a free £250 0% for 12 months overdraft!!!!!
now i have transferred majority of capital one card to barclaycard at 6.9% i am left with about £130 on cap one card (at a horrifying 26.9%). with this o% overdraft i can now clear my cap one card and the 130 will be at 0%.
I have set up a direct debit with barclaycard to pay the minimum payment each month, which will now be paid from my bills account, which leaves me free to hammer everything ive got off my overdraft at 9.9%.
i reckon that it will take me 6 months to clear my overdraft paying about 400 per month off it.
with the A & L account i got a savings account which pays 10% so i will be saving £50 per month in there for the next 12 months towards my car loan.
once my overdraft is paid off, the next 400 will pay off my computer loan and then i will be putting that £400 into my ISA with A & L.....also saving towards my car loan.
i think all this moving around will bring my debt free date much closer although i havent yet worked it all out......im in a great mood today!!!!!!!!!

JD,
Mine was about half way through the year, I think, but they offered it me, I didnt approach them.
Maybe if you approach them they'll give you more or review it sooner?
Always worth a try as they'll not take back what they've offered already.
Good luck x0 -
thanks dinkylou. i think i will just stick with what they have given me and then hope they up it without asking.......it all helps!!!November NSD's - 70
