Will A Charging Order Prevent a Re-Mortgage?

Just a quick question if anyone has the answer, I have an appearance soonr egarding finalising a Charging Order on my home, and our mortgage deal is due for renewal in November.
The debt is wholly in my name, mortgage in joint names with DW and payments from her bank account solely.
Will the CO prevent us from negotiating a new deal with our lender? Or does it mean that if we did go for a new deal then Incasso LLP (boo, hiss!) would want their money out of any equity then?
Thanks for any replies guys, appreciate your advice / experiences.

hi
not an expert on this, but suggest you hop over to the mortgage board for "proper"advice, but will tell you our experience.
We do not have a charging order but found re-mortgage with a high street bank impossibe due to v poor credit rating. Our original lender put us onto the ordinary rate which is where we have stayed. They would not allow us any fixed rate deal, but also did not ask for the money back.
This has been OK for us, and I think you will have to read your agreement very carefully before you talk to them.
goodluck with it all, and I hope it all goes well.LBM-2003ish
