Lexmark P4330 can't read 2Gb SD cards

This isn't mine, but a relative's, a lexmark all-in-one P4330, she uses it for photo printing direct from cards, usually SD, she has a new 2Gb card, but it won't read it, just gives an error. Apparently the manual doesn't confirm or deny if it'll read cards over 32Gb (which is quite a limit!), and I can't find anything on their website. I don't live locally, so can't check it out personally, but I've always hated Lexmark devices which doesn't help, so throwing this open to the forum...
Any Lexmark owners, can it be flashed to cope with larger cards if it is a restriction? As using PICTBridge from the camera to the printer will be tedious in the extreme.
