Need To Get Back On Track

Feeling a bit low at the moment. Haven't been in tune with the MSE bit for about a week now. Went away for the weekend, so was planning for that and let things lapse a bit. Worked out how much was spent when we got back and got depressed. Just keep thinking that could have paid the debt off quicker. On the other hand it was just me and my DH, kids stayed home with their grandparents. So much deserved quality time together :D

Now I need a kick up the b** to get me motivated again. Started Avon yesterday as soon as I got back, posted a few of the brochures in my street. So I am hoping that will go well. But must do more, have strayed away from ebay, so must start listing more.

I know we all get a bit deflated now and again, so any ideas to give me a push would be welcome.

Thanks for listening to me moan.

Peppa

Peppa, I'm really glad to hear you had a lovely time away!

You don't need a kick, you're obviously getting back into money saving (or earning) anyway!

Focus on the fact that you had a nice time away and now you are home again and back to everyday routine re money. Don't feel guilty but don't keep spending!

    Keep at it :D

  • Thanks Kathfisch, I think you have hit the nail on the head. When we were away cost didn't matter, if I wanted a magazine to read then I bought it, if a bottle of coke cost £1.69 and not my usual 44p then so what. But now as you have said 'I have to stop spending'.

Absolutely, that's what holidays are for - a bit of a break from everyday drudge and worrying about pennies. In the great scheme of paying off your debts its a little thing and if it made you feel good, fab! I'm a firm believer that you have to look after yourself a little to get through this strict budget thing. Look back with fond memories but go back to your normal spending, you can do it!! :D
