  • On the voucher the exclusions are: Cash Back, Tobacco, Saver Stamps, Gift Vouchers, Lottery On-Line Game & Instant Tickets, "Top Up" Mobile Cards, E top-up, medicines and purchases within the Cafe, Dry Cleaning, Concessions and Audio Counter.

No mention of alcohol, so you should be fine.
We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

I bought beer last time they did those vouchers with no problem! They're still classed as groceries I suppose.

In theory they are also fine to use in Tesco within the same t&cs, see here:

    - but the barcodes have been set up in a non-coupon format so they don't scan (not even at Morrisons I believe but they will put them thru manually).

It will be a struggle in some Tesco stores to use one of these but just thought I would mention it here in case people don't realise the policy 'should' allow them.

There's lots of recent chat and a copy of the Tesco policy wording, on the printable coupons thread about these vouchers as well. Start with first few posts then read on - and on - and on - or skip to recent pages here:

Many of us have been turned down with these in Tesco this week but if you do spend £30+ then hold on to your receipt and the voucher and try at the CS desk afterwards. Failing that, send it all off to Tesco HO (Dundee addy on their website) explaining that you were turned down but know this coupon should have been OK, they should send you a fiver giftcard.

I realise the OP was talking about using these in Morrisons but HTH someone!

I asked at my local Tesco CS desk yesterday and was told they had had an email NOT to accept these, lol! But as I know the Tesco policy inside out I didn't believe it for a minute and will be claiming my fivers back in the end.

Tesco hasn't got its own voucher promo running in the papers, they don't really need it at the mo I suspect. They just jump on the back of other Supermarkets' promotions (i.e. they accept other stores' Spend & Save conditional spend vouchers, like the fivers in the Sun and last weekend's Times).
