For info, if it's like the opera in the park you can bring your own booze as long as it isn't in glass bottles. useful to know because last time we went the wine was disgusting and very expensive. I actually couldn't drink it and this is pretty much unknown for me :)

Some people bring deck chairs, picnic baskets and the whole works :) I was looking on in envy from my position on an old plastic bag ...

    Hi belfastgirl

Hope you are keeping well. Our weather has been terrible these days hasn't it?

Thanks for the tips for this event. I have never been before but I hope to attend this time!

I'm sure it will be crowded though...

I only went once and I have to say I didn't much enjoy it. They gave a start time of about an hour before it really started so my bum was already numb by then and DH gets twitchy if he sits for too long anyway. And the heavens opened about ten mins in and at that stage I gave up. I'd be much better prepared next time and bring:

Some kind of seat arrangement, I'm too old to sit on the ground!
    warm and waterproof clothes
    A box of wine
    Something to nibble on
    Umbrellas

Just thought I'd list this for you for info, I only learned it when I watched a neighbour rock up about 3 mins before it started with a little collapsible chair and golf umbrella, some wine in a plastic bottle and a couple of sandwiches. i was so envious!

Imagine if the weather was still like this though!

PS i wonder if you could watch from the new QUB library :)
