  • The football ground has parking and is only 30pence an hour (only when Newcastle are not playing at home other wise it is closed) or all car parks are £1 all day on a sunday.
  • I know there's a car park at the Civic Centre (right in between the two uni's and reight next to town)where you can park at the weekend. They have an underground car park too. I think it's fairly cheap as well!! (I normally walk into town cos I don't live that far)

You can park for free at the MetroCentre in Gateshead (there's loads of spaces, as you'd expect) and get the train/bus into Newcastle (5mins).

Think of it as an "unofficial" park and ride with the added bonus of being next to the MetroCentre, should you want to visit!

There is a park and ride in Newcastle city centre, follow signs off central motorway. Only open on a saturday and is 40p an hour and bus is free. You can also walk into the city from that car park (about a 10 min walk to the main centre).

Car parks fees vary greatly around the city. The majority can be very expensive ie up to £1.00 an hour and more. Those that are cheaper get full quickly, especially on sunday when it is a £1 flat rate all day.

Like someone else mentioned, the Metro Centre, about 15-20 mins away, is free parking.

It all depends on wher you are staying as to where you park and how you get in the city.

I need to park in town tomorrow and wondered if anyone knows which car parks are £1/hr?
  • Could Park at one of the metro stations - think all free on Sundays or it is street parking near the metro. Kingston Park -Tesco car park. Kenton Bank Foot - has own car park. Black Callerton - has own car park.:rotfl:
