I am in the process of completing a Property Declaration form, as I have to declare my last six years profits/losses, and there have been many months where my house was vacant, does each months loss of rental income equate to a loss, for tax purposes of the mortgage interest?
Also, do you only declare the times when your property was let via the DHSS??

I take it you mean your rental property when you refer to 'my house'?
If the property is commercially available for let (i.e. not to family members, etc), and possibly advertised somewhere when it is vacant then I don't see why you can't include the mortgage interest for those months as long as the break between letting is not too long i.e. less than say 3 months.0 -

Yes, if you received income you have to include it regardless of who paid it - the tenant or Housing Benefit, etc0
