Meant to add that I did bake for Fathers day, Rasberry and white chocolate muffins, lemon drizzle cake and a cherry, cranberry and almond loaf. Went down well with both of my Dads :T I did buy cards instead of making them because I ddn;t have time but for the three it was less than £2. We've still got to get MrS dad some beer but still less than £10 in total :beer:0

Shopping seems to be going up and up each week so I've spent an awful amount of time meal planning for the whole month ahead and ordered my groceries online. If this works, I should only have to do top up shopping for milk and fresh fruit and veg. It was incredibly boring planning meals for an entire month though.
BY the end of July my allotment should be rewarding me with more produce :T and the next shopping bill should be even less. I'm already getting lettuce and gooseberries so we're not doing too badly. I had a shock when I received the bill this year though as its gone up from around £33 to over £56. I've complained but been told that it's to bring us in line with other allotments in the area. This would be fine but we don't have the same services as others (no water for a start) so I've fired off another email complaining. I thought I'd start myself a spreadsheet detailing what I spend and what I get back. I love spreadsheets and lists and I think this one will spur me on to make sure I really get value from my plot. I'll record everything I harvest and check how much it would be to buy from the oinline supermarkets and also record everything I spend. As I've only recorded the rent so far it's operating at a loss of £56 - I'd better get digging
£25 from the change jar needs to go to the bank but as I'm expecting three cheques from mobile phone sales and one from A&L (who I've just closed my account with) I shall wait until they're all here and make one trip.
I seem to be utterly skint at the moment so this will be a no spend weekend I hope. I was planning to be camping this weekend but they gave out bad weather. So far we had one shower yesterday and it's lovely and hot again today. I think I'm going to avoid weather forecasts from now on .
This week I'm aiming to:- Spend three hours at the allotment
- Not spend anything until Friday (Hen Night - yay!!)
- Complete all the surveys I'm sent to do. I've been a bit lazy with these and letting them expire before I get chance to use them
