Hi,

I have been reading about Arise UK and have actually started the process myself, so I know what you're all talking about. I am at the ACP101 stage.

I am a Chartered Accountant, and on reading these posts it's clear that some people are being put off the opportunity because you have to set up a limited company. Please don't be. If you employ an accountant they can help you with the entire process, from incorporation to filing returns, and calculating tax.

There is lots of great advice on this site, but you could save tax and avoid penalties by dealing with a professional, and reputable firms shouldn't charge as much as you think.

Hope this helps.

I think alot of people dont want to set up the Limited company as they don't want the hassle of setting up and they don't want to be directors. Alot of ACP's I know contract under an existing VSC.

E.g I know one ACP on here I chat to alot she works her 15hours around the family and does not want to run a limited company.

i think there is another accountant on the main Arise forum www . sureboom . com perhaps you could post your particulars on there
  • Hi,

    Thanks for your comments.

I'm aware of Sureboom, my details will be on their site shortly, but it was really just to get out there that it is possible to do it, and depending what the VSC charge her she might make more money doing it for herself!

Just out of interest do you know what they charge her?

Prices range from between £15/£20 per month to 7% of their monthly earnings.

Depends which VSC you go with. I don't think you get any accounting advice with that either.
