Hi Paul,
Maybe you could *put it in writing to Equidebt* that you are in bankruptcy, with reference numbers and dates, state that they are not to harrass you any longer, and especially not at work, and send it special delivery. CC a copy to the Receiver and keep a copy for yourself. I would imagine that if Equidebt keep on at you, they are breaking some laws?

Further to the above, perhaps attach a screen-print or print-out of the page showing your details?"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

the examiner concerend should be able to tell you whetehr or not you have to pay an IPA based on your income/outgoings figures. Write a letter to the examiner concerned, if you do not get a satisfactory reply send a letter of complaint to the oR.
Re the hassling creditor, i dont know what to suggest but the OR cannot do anything about it. Maybe see if they are a member of any professional body and compain to them?0 -
Hiya,
I had a very similar problem when I went bankrupt.
In the end, the creditors who were still chasing me, I found their last letters and wrote to them and I enclosed a copy of the stamped bankruptcy - and sent it by recorded delivery.
Then any letters I recieved after this, I kept a copy for my records, and sent a copy (again, by recorded delivery) to the OR stating that as they should be aware it's a criminal offence for a creditor to demand money from a bankrupt.
Hopefully that will deal with it.

This is exactly the same issue as creditors phoning after you tell them you will only deal with them in writing.
1. Send a recorded delivery letter saying you are bankrupt and give reference numbers and OR's details. Tell them they must stop phoning you and you will not deal with them other than in writing, and that any letter they send to you will be passed to the OR (you never answer them).
2. Keep a written record of all their phone calls to you. After 14 days phone the office of fair trading and complain they have ignored your written instructions and bankrupt status. You are upset by all this and you want to make a complaint.
The OFT usually stop this harrasment in about 3 days.

This seems to be an increasing trend and I think it's appalling.
With apologies to the gentleman if he is no longer the right contact, but he was collecting information on debt collection practices and I'd suggest writing to him:
