What's good to buy from Avon?

Just had a catalogue drop through my letterbox and was wondering which products are worth buying. Is there a thread like the Lidl one that tells us what's good and what's not? If not, can we start one!! I'm down to my last drop of Clinique face cream and it would be great to find a cheaper alternative so please let me know what you think. Also, is it better to buy from an agent or should I just go online? I don't even know who dropped it in so it's not like I've been asked by a friend to help support her. Thanks :)

I get an Avon book from a representative, don't know if you get your goods cheaper if you buy online, they do get a percentage of what you buy from them so might be worth finding out. I've had some lovely designer perfume from Avon, the Bond Girl one and also Christian Lacroix. They do a brill hand cream rich moisture, glycerine, which is great if you get really dry hands. I've always been really happy with all I've ordered and my Avon lady is really nice and friendly. Face cream I've tried has been good especially as I have sensitive skin and it has caused me no problems.

I always buy on-line as you get 15% cashback through the topcashback and quidco sites. There are usually codes around for money off, at the moment there is one for 10% off and free delivery. Also, if you buy on line you can see all the special offers. I like their Anew range and also find the make-up very good. I also use the foot treatments and shampoos.

It is cheaper to buy online via a cashback site such as quidco. I love their Footworks silicone sock cream, it leaves feet (and legs) wonderfully soft.I have also been using their Botanicals vital day cream with spf 20 for a few months. I find it reasonably priced. I used to use Garnier.

Great - I'll buy online then. Still waiting for a recommendation to replace my Clinique - I'm scraping the last bit out of the pot so hope I hear from someone soon!
  • Hi

You could try joining the website and emailing them and asking what they recommend and could they send a sample? Avon are pretty good at giving out samples of things. Not sure personally about the creams but the bronzing balls are really good. Also the skin so soft bubble bath used to be fab.

dont want to appear rude but for the over 40`s ( if applicable) I find the ANEW make up and toiletries absolutly fab.

I always ask my rep for a sample of make up and she gets it before I buy. Plus I think they have a no quibble returns policy. I love Avon

I tried asking for a sample once and all I got was a message saying they don't give samples and to buy the product and if I don't like it they have a 16 day money back guarantee.

I use the face pearls for a blusher. Good if you like subtle. I bought a more expensive brand for my mum from L'Oreal or similar and they're not nearly as nice. When I bought mine they were reduced from £8 to £5.
