Nice rurla romantic location wanted for weekend

hi folks

any advice ona nice weekend getaway here in NI or just south of the border?

Thinking of lake region and seas side but open to suggestions

possibly self caterring lil cottage for 2 ppl on side of lakeside?

Drumrushlodge in Fermanagh has a B&B, caravan park and licenced restaurant. Lovely pleasant couple who own it and they serve good food at affordable prices.

Weekend self catering usually ends up dearer than B&B, plus you have to make your own breakfast.

Theres a place I go since I was born called Portballintrae - just 5 minutes drive from Bushmills and Portrush, and its lovely! Theres a B&B right opposite the sea - or a few self catering houses just round the corner from the sea but beside the harbour.

Best thing to do is check the NI tourist board - anyone with property for weekend lets usually have to be to a real high standard - Ive rented a house in Portballintrae a few yrs ago she was registered with the Tourist board and the house was lovely, even had a hamper waiting for us on arrival!

Don't go the manor house cottages by the lake at the manor house hotel. they are awful and not worth the money!! check out tripadvisor as well for ideas.

Have a look at - the irish cottages . com - Have been around these they are super cottages - even better if you get the weather - checkout laterooms for special on all different accomdations
