first time buyer help

Hi all, just after some advice for a friend of mine:rotfl: him and his wife are first time buyers and looking for a mortgage, now she has a very poor credit history and normal lenders wont look at her twice. Her husband has a perfect credit record but only works part time. Would it be possible to Apply online for a mortgage with their own bank who they have a joint account with, and apply in his name but use her salary. What kind of checks do the banks make on your salary? The bank will have all their salary details on their bank account but obviously wont know whose salary is whose? I know its abit dodgy but is it likely to pass?

The second the lender tries to verify income they will spot your attempt at mortgage fraud.
Best scenario is that the loan will be declined.
Middle scenario is that anti-fraud agencies like CIFAS are advised and your clean credit record will effectively be useless to you.
Worst scenario is that you get charged with attempting to obtain funds by deception which could lead to a prison sentence.0 -

Oh great another fraud thread.
Your plan won't work as they'll ask you for payslips.0
