Safe internet browsing for kids

Statistics reveal that 90% of 8-16 year olds access sites with adult content on the internet. I wish to prevent my ten year old son from venturing into these forbidden sites. He has been recently initiated into using the internet and we have listed certain sites which he can visit on our PC at home. But I would just like to take some precaution. Is there any help?

hi jemkil.i use an excellent web protection for my 12 year old .its free and you can change settings to how you want to.it logs all the sites they try to get on to but are denied access and you can get a weekly report sent to your email which shows all activity that your child has been on or tried to go on.
if they go on a denied site it makes a barking noise as well as blocking it to let parents know.
