Bankrupt more than once?

Options
I was bankrupt in 2005 & it is looking that I may have to go bankrupt again very soon (booked an court appointment for 28th May). Will the courts reject my application because of the time period? I can ill afford the £510 fee to go bankrupt as it is & do not want to pay the fee unless there is a good chance that they will make the bancrupcy order.

I doubt they will reject it, but be prepared for a grilling by the OR and a face to face interview.

If your are insolvent, then thats that. But as peachy has mentioned, expect a real through going over by the OR (financially speaking, not the knuckledusters!), a face to face interview and possibly a BRU.

Just a thought ... what if their debt was less than £15000? Would a DRO be affected if they had previously gone BR? As they said they couldn't afford the fees for BR? I am speaking hypothetically here as the OP hasn't said how much the debt is? And if it is less than £15000 would a DRO be better.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Can I ask is this due to taking further credit out after you were BR first time round or is this due to property?

Then it won't apply ... I'll let someone else explain the commonly used abbreviations.

cant apply for a DRO if you have been declared bankrupt in the last six years, not that it would matter in this case as the debt is larger than £15k

    Queen,

I had to get finance for reliable cars for work, the figure I stated is the interest outstanding only. I have already paid back the cost of the cars within the repayments I had made. I was taken advantage of as they knew I couldn't get finance elswhere & needed a car desperately for a new job.
