Depends on who you deal with at CS.

I remember this 20% discount was offered a while ago and I bought loads of stuff during those days. I took back what didn't fit after the 20% off had stopped.

She refunded the full amount to my card. I protested that I'd been given too much money. She thought I was trying to tell her that I wanted more money back CS finally understood, after 20 minutes trying to explain it several different ways, that they had refunded me too much money. She was shocked I was trying to return cash to tesco, and persevered with it!

Anyway, result was she didn't know how to work the refund with the 20% discount, so told me to keep the amount as a good will gesture...I made about £15!
