I just need some advice concerning Boots points and how they are earned .
Basically I would like to avail of their Bupa Health checkup which is £432 and Boots points .
What is the ratio of points to the £ ? is 4= £1
Do you think they would let me purchase this product when it is a triple points promotion ?
How much would £432 in points on a single basis be equal to ?
Sorry to be dim , and I hope I have posted on the right board .
Thank you very much x

Hi, I work at Boots, each point is worth one pence, most items are 4 points to the pound. Do check as non "Shop" items often are only 1 point to the pound, as I found out a few years ago I had Laser eye surgery and it was 1 point to the pound and that triple points did not apply.Growing old is manditory, Growing up is optional! :j0

Did that already and would you believe it is the same price. So pounds make points. :j0

Before you spend £400+ why not see what your free NHS GP can offer? I have just read through what the classic health check tests for and most of that is available from a GP surgery. All the blood tests are standard tests that would be checked if you were feeling TATT (Tired all the time) apart from cholesterol and PSA. You shouldn't pay for a mammogram or smear test as these are done through NHS national screening programmes. Some of the things you wouldn't get offered routinely by your GP such as an ECG but if you had cardiac problems this would get done routinely.
I believe this is a con preying on the "worried well". If you still want to pay for this consider asking your GP for a private medical, it will be much cheaper.
BUPA cover is good for getting operations or specialist opinions quickly but for getting simple medical check ups why pay when the GP is free?0 -
