hi can anyone tell me how i find out what sort of RAM i need if i want to add more i've had a look around the web but can't find the model of my motherboard ECS M830 so i'm guessing it's either very old or i'm doing something wrong any help would be great

Try the System Scanner here https://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listmfgr.asp?cat=RAM. Will normally tell you what Mothrboard you have and suggest which memory you require.0
