Tesco and Harry Potter dvd

I was in Tescos yesterday and noticed that they were selling the new Harry Potter dvd for £9.77 when purchased with any other dvd or cd. The only exclusion was that you couldn't buy it with a chart single cd, it had to be an album.
My eldest ds was buying 3 dvd's for £18 so i gave him a tenner to get HP for me. When he paid for it he was charged full price (£14 odd). We went to the service desk and the cashier checked and said that offer was only available with chart dvd's (the one's ds bought were 3 for £18 but not chart ones).
Both ds's and myself had read the (don't know what you call them
) POS's (?) and it didn't say anywhere that it had to be chart dvd's. There was a board outside the shop, and when we went outside we noticed it and it did say that it had to be chart cd's or dvd's, but there was nothing at all in the dvd aisle. As I said before the only exclusion was that it couldn't be a single cd.
I just asked for a refund on HP and got it no problem, but I was just wondering if I should have stuck to my guns and insisted that i got it for £9.77.
Sorry for being long winded. I'm not very good at explaining myself.

cd-wow are selling it for £13, so if you have a voucher (e.g. from the TimeOut fiasco) you can get it for £10.

or £4.25 if you were one of the lucky ones who got the £8.75 voucher like myself.0

Asda have it for £12.47 if you don't have any vouchers or anything to make it better value else where0

Anyone tried buying two copies of it- using the second copy as justification to sell the first one at £9.77 and vice versa!
Having read the terms i couldn't see that you couldn't do this but haven't tried it. HMV specifically say in their ads you can't use the purchase of the item itself if it is discounted as grounds for obtaining any discount but I don't think Tesco's state this
If anyone has, please let us know if this works!Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -

I went in today and there was just a plastic holder where the POS thingy had been. It had been removed.0
