I am one of those lucky enough to have got through the waiting list and have a start date as an EO with DWP in a 'New Deal'??? team I believe. I haven't been in a jobcentre for years so can someone give me an idea of dress code if possible.

The dress code is business dress. I would say for men thats smart trousers, shirt and tie or for women smart trousers/skirt etc.LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 :eek:- 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Men do not have to wear a tie now in jobcentreplus, but a shirt and trousers is expected, for women more relaxed, smart clothes, no jeans and you aren't allowed to wear anything with logo's or designer labels0

It's common sense really, trousers, shirt, tie, preferably suit jacket also I'd say. You want to look smart and professional. Get off to the best start. Good luck

A lot of customer facing organisations now have a "no-tie" or "clip-ons only" policy because of the injury risk if one of your "customers" decides to attack you.0
