    Hi Martin

Could you tell me where the floor store is? My son is looking to buy flooring at the minute and that certainly seems like very good value. Thanks

The best deal you'll get at the moment is at the floor store. We got got some branded Ac3 graded (light commerical) textured vgroove stuff on sale. It was down from £13 a square metre to £6. The equiv stuff in eveywhere else (b&q, homebase, floors2go) ranges from £13-£25

    Hope that helps.

Boucher road in Belfast facing B&Q.

    Martin.
  • You should try these guys, they did a great job with my laminate flooring:
    jjpflooring.co.uk
I think they also sell hardwood flooring, but as for laminate flooring I think they're among the cheapest (price/quality that is).
  • We had flooring supplied by this guy - he fits floors as well but we just needed it supplied. He was recommended by a family member who got quite a bit of work done by him. He was cheaper than anywhere else I had tried. He also does joinery work as far as I know. He delivers too

  • You could try antrim flooring co at junction one in antrim - really great guy and reasonable to deal with as well

Used B&Q laminate myself. I got the AC3 (heavy domestic / light commercial use) flooring and have used it in two bedrooms for about 3 years with no issues at all.
Did the living room floor about 3 months ago, and now doing dining room with it also. Found that B&Q were the cheapest for it.
  • I looked around and found best deal on ebay.
Top quality hard wearing commercial grade solid 11mm (0.4") thick at £5 per m2. Free underlay, beading, and shipping included. Due to large order size. The same flooring priced around £28 in the shops and had to pay extra for beading, underlay and delivery. If you need more info on this go to homeimprovementcontractors911.com/

If you are looking for the cheapest, and it won't be for a high traffic area (hallway, kitchen), we got laminate for bedrooms from B&Q. The Rustic Oak Glueless laminate, which comes in long wide boards (doesn't look like lots of small boards). We got enough for 5 bedrooms with underlay for £460. We laid it ourselves and it looks good. Make sure the skirtings are removed first, as they cover the edges when they are re-fitted, and if you have access to a good circular saw with a guide, it really speeds up the whole process. Otherwise a jigsaw and a hand saw would do.

We had a few days off work and managed to get a room done a day for 5 days.

    Good luck.
