Hello
First time posting one of these so hopefully I am following all the rules. I was reading some of the gardening tips and thought you might like to know some councils offer free compost bins. I have just received mine and am looking forward to learning all about composting. If your council doesn't provide free bins they may offer them at a reduced cost.:j

Yes, very useful. SOme councils also provide a brown bin service for garden waste. You also get this bin for free. Worth taking a look at both.0

£22 in my area as well. Would have got one if they were £8.500

you get a free caddy bin for your kitchen as well if you buy a compost bin but you have to add it to your basket.
£3.00 for bin inmy area plus £5.00 postagenow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
£22 for Hampshire too, seems a bit unfair when others can get one for £8.50. Tempted as it we've wanted to get one for ages but including postage and the caddy it comes to £32 which I can't really justify at the moment.0

Thanks Venezia, I have just been able to order a compost bin free of charge postcode PR1. I do already have one but I have spent quite a lot on store bought compost this year and want to make a conscious effort to have a readily available free supply for next year!0

£22 in my area also, I now have the brown bin to recycle cans, glass etc. It is amazing how much space I now have in my normal bin. I am really enjoying recycling.!
Thanks for this info.0 -
