Problems with BK forms

Hi All,
I am due to go BK on Thursday and worked late into last night ensuring my forms were all complete online. This afternoon I printed off the three copies at work however am in a panic as I missed some things even though I thought I had double checked everything thoroughly. :(

It is small things but I am terrified that I will be sent away again if I make manual changes on the forms.

On the first page my name appears and my maiden name below however my middle name only appears with my maiden name. An account number has been missed, just the sort code printed out and the previous address field is completley empty! I read it online as any other addresses I have debts but on the form it just says previous addresses.

What do I do now? Do I restart the forms or make handwritten amendments?

I really couldn't cope if I was sent away on a technicality and had to wait for another appointment. Please help!!!!!!

    Hi SammyB,

The forms don't need to be an unblemished work of art. It's perfectly acceptable to make handwritten adjustments to the forms; the Court staff do it regularly.

Providing the forms are accurate to the best of your knowledge then that's all that's required of you.

    Regards

Yep, I second that, I was declared BR today at the High Court in London, I made a couple of errors on my printed out forms and the clerk just adjusted them with her pen and said "it's ok love, no problem", honestly!!! I guess that's no guarentee for you though, but thought I'd share.

How many people are going BR? LOADS!!! I bet they see loads of messed up forms LOL :money:
  • Make the changes you need to do by hand, then when you see the clerk point them out and they will get you to initial the changes in front of them. It will not be a problem, so don't panic.

Yes do intiial or sign any amendments & make the amendments clear rather than scribbled....will save unecessary clarification questions later.

    Good luck for Thursday.

Thank you, I guess I am stressing out about more and more things as the BK day draws ever closer. I suppose I just want the whole thing over and done with so I can do normal things like sleep!

About the previous addresses, I know I should list them. The form printed the previous address bit at the top of a page with the business address esdirectly underneath (I have none), the rest of the page is blank. Would it be ok for me to handwrite my old addresses under the business ones and draw an arrow from the top question to it?

    I'm being stupid, I know. . .

I'm going to add some hand written notes into my section 13 where the on-line form doesn't seem to allow enough expantion then just sign and date them (and sign again if necessary in court).

Just as a thought - how far back do you need to go for previous addresses? I was debt free/no credit soon after I moved North and in my first rented house I 'got rid' of any debt but I think I started taking on credit in my second though wasn't in difficulty - its only really been a problem in my repossessed house and where I am now so are those two addresses sufficient?

    Thanks folks

    Hi Late,
I asked this question and apparentlyit is only addresses where you have had debt, the same if you have ever had a different name;)

Thanks PMG, I'll stick with just the two addresses but I'll leave my married name in just in case (though haven't used it in a long time).
