Hi guys,
I really want to try making toad in the hole as it is one of my fav's. We only have soya milk though (and veggie sausages) - would the soya milk work in the batter or would it be a waste of time trying??

I am sure it would be fine, I sometimes use soya milk in rice pud, it makes it more creamy than skimmed without the calories of whole milk. Also if you buy soya milk the tesco value one is a soil association organic one, but at a third of the price.... BARGAIN>Pawpurrs x0

Thanks for the reply pawpurrs,
I think i will give it a go. Sometime next week. Am a little worried about whether it will work but i suppose the only way of really knowing is giving it a go. nice to know other people think it should work too though.

You can make batter using water, in fact it works out really light that way. I have made batter using soya milk but I half and halfed it with water and it was fine. Just make sure that you use plain flour and use 2 eggs for 100g flour.Jane
