Hi,
I have started a new job working for a local council, there is no free parking at all so spending approx £7.00 a day to park and cant use public transport as their is non that will get me there so drive approx 70 miles.
I just wondered like the car millage where you can claim the millage difference.
Can you I claim the car parking back? on a %
Many thanks
Kevin

No, car parking, like travel to work is not incurred wholly and exclusively in the performance of your duties. It merely places you in the position to work. (How many time have I written those sentences in my life?)£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

I'm afraid not....you can't claim for parking or mileage if it's your normal journey to work.
maybe park a bit further way where it's free and have a fold up bike?0
