Could you give us some idea of price range? Personally I would have killed for something like an NDS at that age but had to wait another 17 years for mine!! Or perhaps a really nice perfume, or if you want to push the boat out have a piece of jewellery made.

Hi - a day at the local Spa with some treatments thrown in - and perhaps she can take a mate!! Lovely and relaxing.

Well done for asking for help ,rather than just hoping what you get will be good enough(chances are it probably wont be:rolleyes:).

Night in a london hotel with a romantic meal & a show :) It really depends on the things she likes though. anything that is memorable is a good idea as is something special like the jewellery people have suggested.
Do tell us what you decide on & good on you for asking for help instead of just blundering it lol.
    Hugs

We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

It was never about the money for me, it was all about the thought. If you live together do her birthday breakfast. Set the room up the night before with balloons and several bunches of flowers (it's ok to buy them from the supermarket). The breakfast itself can be anything, toast or pastries, strawberries and cream and of course a birthday cake with candles as I bet she hasn't had that for years.

That's the personal touch and something similar could be done even if you don't live together you could still do balloons, cake and flowers. If you want to spend more then that's up to you. The main thing is that you've made her birthday a special day. Good luck and have fun.

some great ideas and many are tempting, but I should declare....we are not married *gasp* or boyfriend-girlfriend, or mistress but friends.

she is very innovative and extremely thoughtful in her gift ideas. she keeps raising the bar and thats the spur for action.

A day zorbing? It's a nice way to do something together that's not too intimate and lastminute have some bargains (works out to £30 each ish I think).

How about a really nice journal - there are some hand made/leather bound type things on eBay. You could write the first entry for her (someone did this for me for my 21st and I loved it).
