dunno but the asics gel ones are the best I'm told. They really soften up the hits on your knees etc
anyway check out sportsshoes unlimited.

don't forget that you might need shoes for underpronation etc, it's important to know these things so you don't injure yourself
I don't know whether the gel/arch support inserts make the difference or not

If you're going to be any serious amount of running you should never buy a shoe over the Internet.
Go to a proper running shop ( not most High Street sports stores which simply sell running shoes as fashion accessories ) and invest whatever it takes to buy a good shoe that is suitable for you.
Your knee joints will thank you later in life.

You know what.. I had a friend tell me of 2 local running shops.. I best I should pop in then, as I don't tend to walk normally, so doubt I'm gonna run normally either!! lol
