in Cutting tax
Hi
I work as a management accountant for a finance firm. A couple of the people in my team are studying for CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and the company is paying for it. I’ve just started doing CIMA as well – though the company won’t pay for me as they already have two in the team studying for it. So I’m paying for it myself. Does anyone know if I can claim some sort of tax relief for this please? I’m paying for course fees, exam fees and annual subscriptions.
Many thanks in advance

Only thing you can claim for is the annual subscription0

I agree with BoGoF, however, one other thing you could do is enter into a salary sacrafice arrangement with your employer whereby you give up £x from your salary and they pay £x to fund your training; this should be a tax and NI efficient.0
