Says it is in Argos at £109.99 - does look quite sleek. At Tradex from 23/3/06.

Thanks to the OP0 -
I think Argos stopped selling these after the last catalogue because I vaguely remember a thread about a great sale price.
However, the reviews on Amazon seem pretty conclusive and stopped me from buying it. It has an average user rating of 1/5, and the same comments appear time and time again..
"On opening the machine we found it had a strong smell of plastic which had transferred to the juice"
"It had a distinct (plastic) tang to it that did not taste very Orange."
"The ...plastic taste was evident and the inside of the juicer still smelt of plastic."
"I can't tell (what the taste is) as the smell of burnt plastic gets in the way."
"Says you can clean it with a dishwasher. A blow torch might be better"
"I was using it as usual, when I noticed a smell of burning pastic"
"a strange smell ...smoke from the motor"

Having ordered one of these on-line last night before anyones comments had come on I was very happy, this morning however I was wondering if I had made a mistake.
I have just read a review on ciao.co.uk about it and now think I have done the right thing.
About tradex, we used to have a local shop which has now closed down and the closest one now is too far away, so paying £5.99 for delivery wasn't too bad. I received an e-mail from them this morning telling me that the juicer has been dispatched and should be with me for 27/03, so in effect I have got mine before they are in the tradex shops, can't be bad.
Absolutely gutted about Paul Walker - RIP xx0 -
I have the AWT one (Breville JE8) - in fact I know two other people who also have it and it is a great juicer.
Powerful (850W) and very easy to clean.
Even though it is made by Breville, it does not give any hint of a plasticky taste in the juice.
I bought mine for £79.50 with free delivery from electricshopping.com - Argos price is £100:

I'd recommend it and it seems to have good reviews on the net."To be ignorant of one's ignorance is the malady of the ignorant." Amos Bronson Alcott0 -
Presuming this is red in colour as in the picture?0
