Levi 'Red' Tag

Like a lot of us I am having a clearout. Deciding what to Ebay and what to carboot. I have an old Levi denim jacket of mine which I was going to carboot for a £1. However on looking on Ebay I might just get £5! I have noticed that some Levi are posted with 'Red tag'. Can someone please enlighten me as what this is? I thought all Levi stuff came with a small red tag?

Not sure on the Red tag bit, but I know that years ago Levi's logo used to be LEVI's not LeVI's as it is now. Items with the capitol E in logo are rarer.

Years ago I had a pair of Levi orange tag jeans, I think they were the unisex style.
I'v always thought the red tab symbolised the original levi styling hence why most items have the red tab and use that in the name.
    Hope this helps

If it has a red tab on it, then it is red tab. Levi's did have a specific ardertising campaign for "red tab" in the 80's from what I recall, but it's not only one cut or design that has the red tab. There is also the orange tab as mentioned in the previous post.
