House Valuation

Hi All,

Once a valuation is completed by an estate agent, does the OR ever contact the estate agent? Only asking as i know someone who works in the estate agent and really dont want them to know about the bankruptcy.

Understandable, but if you want to avoid any chance of this person finding out about the bankruptcy you would be well advised to use a different estate agent. There could be any number of reasons for the OR to contact the estate agent - to clarify something, etc - and you would have no control over it.

I had to use three different estate agents and as far as I know, the OR did not contact any of them. I submitted my valuations and I got a figure from the OR just two days later. All three estate agents called to see if I wanted to go with them (with follow up calls) which I don't believe they would do if they knew I was BR.

The OR has offered BI. House is in equity but my share is minimal.

The OR rarely makes you sell and can't force a sale if your share of the equity is less than £1,000. Don't know if that affects you.
