Mate, you're not going to win this one. It's not a matter for considered subjective opinion and chin stroking from behind the keyboard, it's a matter of simple fact.
JSA will not pay my bills and allow me to eat.
You can say "oh but it will, you just need to change your lifestyle" as much as you please, but sadly the very simple fact is that it won't.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
[And I refer you to my earlier comment, you don't see career benefit claimants made to share houses, so why should I?[/QUOTE]
absolutely.
so a person who has worked for years and paid into the system and is currently out of job due to the recession gets less then a career benefit claimant. how on earth can that be fair. on top of that gets ridiculed on forums. how shameful can that be.
pitiful state of affairs. ultimately we have to remember to treat our taxpayers money with respect. money thrown around on people who dont deserve it just loses its value.0 -

I think there is some merit in them doing so. For many it would be great as they could share childcare too, so could do little jobs without the need for formal nurseries.0 -

Yesterday I did a bit of research, and read this page, and the page linking off it.The personal allowance rates of JSA are intended to cover all basic day-to -day living expenses such as food and fuel for light and heating.
Deflation is going to see benefit payments cut, but it will still be in line with the JSA of today, for the cost-of-living for food, fuel for light and heating, for those who qualify under the new regime.0 -

But they don't get less; if their situation is the same then they get exactly the same amount.0 -

Exactly; we were talking about studio houses, which is why I made my joky comment as they hardly exist!0
