I find TK Maxx very good for kitchen utensils, knives, baking trays, pots and pans and cutlery. Not things you would maybe think of buying there, they are often foreign makes but very good quality. Towels are also good buys, I got 2 hand and 2 bath Fenn Wright Manson Studio towels for £25 recently - fantastic quality. Watch the quality of some of their Egyptian Cotton sheets - a pair I bought were not comparable with existing ones I have from John Lewis.
The other main bargain I get is Quiksilver etc tops for my teenage son, these can be a third of the price of High Street shops.0 -
if you'd gone to TJ Maxx in the states a few years back you'd all have been in a 'shopping wonderland' ....trolly for me and a trolly for the missus0

its weird, but i HATED tj maxx in the states, it seemed to cater for old women and teenyboppers, with nothing for the people in between.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

TK maxx don't tend to do clothes in my size, howvere I have bought 2 pairs of shoes from them.
One pair I bought last week for interviews, flat black Scholl shoes... RRP £50, I paid £20 but my mum gave me the money back... so technically free!!
My other pair were some trainers, not a brand I have heard of before, but they are the skater/Vans style, very comfy. They didn't have an RRP on them, but I checked a very similar pair on the next shelf and that price was £95... I paid... wait for it... £13Blood donations to date: 10 | Type: O negative[/B][/CENTER]0 -

My shopping pilgrimmage as well I confess.
I even dislike shopping anywhere else becasue they seem to have a lot more variety than most high street brands.
My theory is that they get a few overstock/unsold form overseas from brands that don't want to go "downmarket" in their own country.... Found some clothes for DD "Lulu Castagnette" that I had never heard of, and when we visited rellies in France they all went "oooohhh posh clothes little darling :rotfl:....I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0
