will provident lend to unemployed/self employed?

    They will lend to self employed as I was self employed when I took my first loan with them.
    Pretty certain they will also lend to unemployed as long as they are happy that you can afford the repayments.
    When I took mine about 3 years ago they didn't even ask about income, just proof of ID.

    Yes provident take unemployed people i was out of work when i took out my loan three years ago just be aware of the high interest rates they charge.

    Provie will lend to anything that has 2 legs a head and can speak and sign it's name.

    Actually, provident have refused every appilcant I have put through to them recently..Looks like they are tightening up on lending as we all have.

    Provie, love unemployed people. Usually the only people who are so desperate to borrow £50 they don't mind that they will need to pay back £75. On the weeks you can't afford to pay it they lend you more. A friend of mine got suckered into this & after around 3 years of paying & borrowing silly amounts, usually for school uniform or shoes etc for her children she was paying half her benefits back to them every week. I wouldn't touch a loan from them with somebody else's large bargepole. Sign up with them & it's akin to selling your soul to the devil.
